Our Environmental Commitment:

L&M Pressworks has made a strong commitment to renewable energy, recycling, and maintaining the quality of our environment.

We’ve become the fifth printer in the State of Colorado to achieve FSC Certification. FSC, or Forest Stewardship Council is the leading organization in the protection of forest resources. We are also part of the Rainforest Alliance. For more information on both, please visit their web sites.

We recycle virtually 100% of our waste paper, plastic, and metal. Our waste paper is all recycled. All possible plastics we use are recycled, as is all of our aluminum printing plates.

Over the past three years we’ve reduced our VOC emissions by 75%. VOC’s contribute to green house gas pollution and damage the ozone. We continue to research new products to further reduce these emissions.

A portion of our electric is provided by wind-source energy. We are fortunate in Colorado to have a strong natural resource in our wind. Right now 9% of our power is provided by wind-source energy, and will increase to 20% by 2020.
